First Aid Courses

From 1st April 2021 students taking their Door Supervision training for the first time will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate, that's why our first aid course Manchester is ideal for that purpose.

This must meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Training centres must confirm that each learner is sufficiently qualified in First Aid or Emergency First Aid.

If you have already completed the first aid course, you will be required to present your First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate to us before you start training. This certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date.

First Aid For The Security Industry

First Aid Training

By the very nature of the work, a security guard or door supervisor is usually working in a crowded environment where a lot of people are often congregated, particularly at larger music and sports events, bars and nightclubs.

When injuries occur it is usually the security staff that are first on the scene so they need to know how to treat injuries or serious incidents.

In case of accidents or emergencies, Security staff need to have basic medical knowledge on how to deal with these types of situations.

Why Are The Requirements Changing

First Aid Training Course

The security industry is playing an ever more important role when it comes to dealing with the public and therefore security guards and door supervisors are required to provide proof of their first aid training.

The new requirements are there to ensure all door supervisors and security guards have the necessary skills to be able to perform their duties as effectively as possible in all situations.

Top Up Training First Aid Courses

Security Guard Training

Any person wishing to renew their SIA license from the 1st of October 2021 is required to take the Door Supervisor or Security Guard top-up training course.

In each case, you will need to first take the first aid taring course before proceeding to the main top-up course.

At Courses4U we offer first aid courses with all of our security training and top-up courses so you can rest assured that you will not only comply with all the current regulations but will be fully trained and refreshed when it comes to first aid.
