Once you successfully complete your course, you will be able to apply for a Security Guard SIA Licence. It is a legal requirement to hold a valid SIA Licence before commencing work in the UK Security Industry.

The Security Guard Course runs over 4 days and is divided into 3 units:

Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry
Principles of Working as a Security Officer in the Private Security Industry
Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry

This course is very similar to the Courses4u SIA Door Supervisor Course. The main difference is that it does NOT include the Physical Intervention unit.

From 01 April 2021 learners taking their Security Guard training for the first time will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate. This must meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Training centres must confirm that each learner is sufficiently qualified in First Aid or Emergency First Aid.

If you already have completed the first aid course, you will be required to present your First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate to us before you start training. This certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date.
